Our Admissions Process
The first step is to call us, or fill in the simple online inquiry form so we can connect with you at a convenient time. That way we can share our current tuition rates and help you determine if CLA might be a good fit for your child.
What Happens Next?
Our admission process begins with a follow-up phone call by our Admissions Manager, where we will ask a few questions about the problems you’ve been experiencing with your teen. If those questions readily show that the boy is a possible candidate for our program then the intake process begins. If there are any doubts as to the whether he might be a good candidate, a second phone call is scheduled with the Program Director. If the Program Director approves, the intake process continues, if not, we may suggest other programs which are fit to handle the teens case.
The next step is for the parent/guardian to fill out the Application. We will request copies of any medical information, prescriptions, or previous psychological evaluations that have been made. We will also request schooling transcripts and all legal documents which are required.
How long does enrollment usually take?
Enrollment is immediate once the parents provide the requested documents and the initial fees are paid. Our admissions are year-round.
Do you meet parents in person or require a campus visit before enrollment?
Although a campus visit is not a requirement for enrollment, we do encourage parents to set up a tour. We are a very open program and want parents to know where their children will be staying and under what conditions.
We appreciate the time you have spent getting to know California Leadership Academy. We welcome the opportunity to get to know your family in greater depth and explore whether we are a good match for your family or not. We are clear that we are not a “one size fits all” school, we cannot be everything to everybody. Please find comfort in the fact that if we are not the proper solution for your family we will kindly provide you some referrals and resources that may be better suited to your situation.
